About Us

My name is Marilyn Mathews, and I am the proud owner of K9 Karousel.

I grew up on a farm in Michigan, surrounded by animals. I can't imagine a life without pets. When I was younger, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.

 

Marriage and raising a family sidetracked that dream, but, when I was able, I became a fully qualified pet groomer, with the hope of opening my own salon.

 

I realized that dream in 1996, when I opened K9 Karousel with zero clientele. 13 1/2 years later, we have grown to over 3000 clients. We serve Anaheim, Buena Park, Cerritos, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Stanton, and Southern California with all your pet grooming, nail trimming, and FURminator needs.

 

K9 Karousel is committed to using environmentally friendly products to ensure your pet’s comfort and safety.

 

K9 Karousel utilizes a "Tender Touch" method when handling your pet. K9 Karousel has an extremely caring and knowledgeable team. We all work together to provide your pets with superior personalized attention, and quality grooming in a timely manner.

 

 

Crystal (with Charlie) has been a full time groomer with K9 Karousel since early 2006. She is confident in her grooming skills. She knows breed specific grooming, mutt grooming, and grooming to the owner's request.

Aimee (with Charlie) is also a full time grooomer with K8 Karousel, since early 2008. Aimee is confident in her grooming skills as well, and usually grooms all the hard, "wants to bite you" dogs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Debbie is very, very part time, as she has moved on to another full time career. However, she does help on some Saturdays if we need her. She also does all the window and wall pet murals. She is very artistic. Debbie has worked for several years on a part time basis with K9 Karousel.

 

 

 

All the groomers at K9 Karousel are confident in their grooming skills, and work extremely well with the pets, the customers, and each other.
